Weekend Diary

Since the Hub was at the Ryder Cup this weekend...
it was just Goosie Girl and I...
We started it off with a soccer game...
(in which I'm glad to report they won)
After the game we hit a few stores...
purchased a few halloween items to fancy up the house with...
and even bought the Spooky dog some new pjs...
We ended our day out with some sushi...
On Sunday,
I'm happy to say that the only thing we did is
put out our halloween decorations and watch the Ryder Cup...
(I wish that would have had a different outcome)
And now we are off and running in a new week...
Here's to making it productive!

Edible Imaging and Design Deconstructed

So what do you mean by edible imaging and design on a cookie?
The first time I ever heard of it was from Sweetopia
when she used this process (see the cookies below) on The TomKat's printables...
(that's  The TomKat's  actual printables on the cookies)

I never really thought more about it until now...
With the world of printables...
why not use those precious graphics on cookies to further accent your party?
I have invested in the tools to do it...
an edible printer, edible ink and edible icing sheets (in which to print the image on)...
I still use Sweet Goosie Girl's delicious cookies & frosting...
the image just slides on top of the frosting...
I add a pretty border with more decadent frosting...
and voila'...
All you have to do is provide the graphics you want to use...
Let's look at a preppy invite that we may or may not use
for Goosie Girl's upcoming birthday...
Since I want to focus on the orange & black...
I could take the witch with the orange/white striped stockings...
and add it to a small round cookie (2.5") to accent my dessert table...
(this is the actual image that would be on the cookie)
Can't you just see this festive sweet amongst all the goodies?
How about a personalized cookie favor to send home with the girls...
This exact image on a square cookie (3.5"), in a cello bag and tied with a bow...
Preppy preciousness!
Isn't it awesome?!
That's just it!
The possibilities are endless...
I love how you can personalize everything...
Even the invitation could be put on a cookie...
that's the fabulous thing about it...
Everything and anything can be put on one of Sweet Goosie Girl's delicious cookies!
I'm SO excited!

Green Milk Bottle Cookies

I am absolutely loving these milk bottles in green...
and they go so nicely with the navy...
Preppy & pretty...
I can't wait to share what Sweet Goosie Girl is getting ready to start offering...
I feel like God let the cookie orders stop for a moment so I could hear him..
(and when I say stop...I mean stopped...which is a little scary...)
And now I am SO excited...
Thanks God for blessing me with an amazing idea!
Here's to a Wednesday filled with thankfulness!

Weekend Diary

Aren't weekends just the best...
A time to slow down, recharge & just enjoy...
Well that's exactly what Sweet Goosie Girl did...

Friday afternoon we dropped Goosie Girl & the Spooky dog off at the grandparents...
Then the hub & I were off to a weekend at the beach...
We stopped for dinner at our favorite place...
And on Saturday it was all about sleeping late
and enjoying sun & fun on our favorite island...
Intercoastal on one side...walk to the other side...and voila'...Gulf of Mexico...
Yesterday, it was time to come home and get ready for the week...
Until next time...

Sweet Friday - Anchor Cookies

There is nothing sweeter for a Friday than cookies that:
1.  are going to a Naval officer
2.  are sent from his girlfriend for his birthday
3.  are anchors
I'm loving the yellow background...usually they're done in white...
I can't believe how the navy looks so different on the yellow...
I hope Chief Misner enjoys his sweet treats...
What's on your agenda this weekend?
I hope to do a lot of this...

and enjoy a bit of this...

Here's to a weekend filled with relaxation!

Polaroid Camera Cookies

Now here's a blast from the past...
Polaroid cameras...
Who remembers these?
The way the picture would emerge from the front of the camera...
and then you'd have to wait for the image to magically appear...
I thought that was the coolest!
When I was making these, Goosie Girl came in and asked what these were...
I told her and she preceded to tell me that I was weird and then walked out...
You just gotta love an almost 13 year old!
Here's to a day filled with all of your favorite blasts from the past!
