Colon Cancer Awareness Cookies

I had the honor of making these for a dear friend whom I used to teach with...

Her precious daughter organized a team for a fundraising walk/run

to raise money for colon cancer...

Their slogan was "get your rear in gear" 

and of course Mickey had to be a part of it...

She ADORES Mickey and Walt Disney and her classroom was filled it and "Believe"...

so needless to say those two items needed to be on the cookies...

Let's believe that a cure will be found soon!

Disney Movie Frozen - Olaf Cookies

Well one good thing about the field trip to Washington DC

was that I got to see the movie Frozen...

It was absolutely precious!

Other than that...

The trip about did me in...

and I'm not joking one.single.bit...

I'm still recouperating and it's been a week...

I've decided field trips are not my thing anymore...

Especially when they require a 15 hour (or longer on the way up) bus ride...

Been there...done that...don't care to do it anymore...

There's no place like home!

Well these little guys are quite appropriate for today...

The family and I are off heading off on a Disney Cruise...

We love to take one this time of year...

after the holidays...

when you can truly relax and enjoy...

No internet connections...no phone service...

I think they secretly do this to force you to disconnect...

Whatever!  Works for me...

Remember, vacations are important to recharge!

Walt Disney World...the happiest place on earth...no?

I live about 20 minutes from the Mouse family...

and I don't visit them nearly as much as I should...

We sometimes, on the weekend, like to head to Downtown Disney

and soak up the magic...especially when Goosie Girl was younger...

so it's no surprise that I love making my Minnie Mouse cookies...

I mean after all, she is practically my neighbor...

She especially likes when I add a little bling to her...

Like this hot pink rhinestone...

She likes to be all girly and glam up for Mickey...

Sometimes she even chooses to go red...

This is her more traditional look...

Mickey's are on the agenda to do today...
