A Halloween Inspired Birthday Party

Happy Halloween!
I thought it was most appropriate to share Goosie Girl's 13th birthday party today
since it was halloween inspired...
Of course she wanted a food table filled with yummies...
(I just love this spider tablecloth that I got from Michaels)
She invited 5 friends over for a sleep over...
They were so impressed with the little details of the table (which made me swoon)...
I put their dinner
(consisting of  a Chick fil'a sandwich, fries, apple slices, condiments & a festive napkin)
in a gable box and tied it up oh so pretty...
I used simple black cups and attached a name card and a stripey straw for their drinks...
OMG they said...usually at a party we just eat greasy pizza on paper plates and write our names with a sharpy on our cups...not here you don't!
They had popcorn for movie time (or just to munch on)...
In lieu of the birthday cake, we opted for layered cupcakes in clear glasses...
the spoons were black striped and I added some pink glitter for glitz...
And of course we had to have some of Sweet Goosie Girl's cookies...
(these were done using the edible imaging)
Just simple, pretty & delicious...
I wish I would have taken a picture of when I woke up Saturday morning...
there wasn't much left...
Goosie Girl and her friends had a great time...

**I ordered the gable boxes, popcorn boxes, wooden spoons & black/white lollipops
from Kara's Party Ideas...I must say that I was not impressed with the quality of the gable boxes/popcorn boxes and would not order from them again.

Spider tablecloth, ribbon, flowers, stickers & striped straws all came from Michaels...

Pumpkin Cookies

Since Halloween is tomorrow...
I thought I'd share these little festives that I made last week
for a little boy's birthday...

Hmmm...I just had a thought...next year I might have to do a preppy pink version too...
Who says pumpkins just have to be orange?
Here's to a Tuesday of thinking outside the box!

Logo Cookies

Is it Monday already?
I was SO enjoying the weekend...no cookies, relaxing and spending time with the family!
Isn't it hard to believe that Halloween is this week?
That means the holidays are about to be in full swing...
I'm not sure that I'm ready for that...

I designed these cookies (last week) for a prep school's centennial celebration...
She provided the logo she wanted to use...
And I (using my edible imaging) was able to print them, adhere them to the cookie and package them up pretty...
What a special & delicious treat for the guests...
Here's to a Monday filled with meaning!

Single Monogram & Anchor Cookies

These little preppy pretties were made for a baby blessing...
I'm absolutely loving the navy & orange color scheme...
and I think that orange is my new favorite accent color...
(I've been using it quite a lot)...
Here's to a Tuesday filled with color!

Circle Monogram Cookies

It was such an honor when Razzberry Fizz
(one of the preppy monogram queens)
wanted to use this invite of mine and add matching cookies...
I didn't have to think twice...yes please!

I think pink & orange is my new favorite color combo...
It's just so fresh and festive...
especially with a monogram...
Don't you think?

Here's to a Thursday filled with preppy goodness!

Bow Tie Cookies

I designed some bow tie cookies
(yes...using my edible imaging)
for a baby shower...
All I did was create what I wanted them to look like, basing my colors off the invitation..
(and using my favorite digital papers)
Printed each out and attached them to my cookies with royal icing...
I love how you can mix & match patterns...
I think a monogram would look sweet in the middle of the bow tie too...
and there you have it...
Pretty & delicious custom cookies...
Here's to a Wednesday filled with mixing & matching!

Logo Cookies

Have I mentioned how much I love my new edible imaging system?
Look how fabulous logos look...
Preppy & Pink on a cookie...
Is this not a fantastic way to promote your business?
and definitely more delicious than a business card...
The perfect treat for your customers...
Just tuck one in their package...
An unexpected yet unique gift that they will remember...
(not to mention enjoy)...
Here's to a Tuesday full of promoting your business!

Weekend Diary

This weekend was filled with cookies...
12 dozen to be exact...
This is a sampling of a few...
Sometimes I used to get mad when I had to do cookies over the weekend...
But I changed my perspective...
I am SO lucky to have a job that allows me to make pretty things all day...
I mean seriously...how could I be angry?
I get to make pretty & delicious cookies...all day...
What could be better?
I am a lucky girl!
Here's to a Monday filled with gratitude!

Creative Meeting

I found this image via Tumblr...
and I really wish I knew who styled this party because I am just smitten with it...
How perfect would this place setting be for a "creative meeting?"...
A sketch book...a notebook...different color pens...
(which all could double as favors)...
A meet up of like minded girls ready to brainstorm...
I want to go!  I LOVE things like that!
Here's to a Thursday filled with brainstorming!

Edible Imaging & Design - Chuck E Cheese Cookies

I have refused to do character cookies up to this point...
I find them to be exceptionally hard and those teeny tiny details are not my thing...
But thanks to my edible imaging...I now LOVE character cookies...
Why?
Because I can just print out the image onto icing sheets with my edible printer & edible ink
 cut it out...
attach it to my cookie...
and add a decorative border...
No more eensie weensey tips that clog and make me angry...
Just a perfectly pretty & delicious cookie...
Ready to accent a dessert table or give as favors to your special guests...
And again, the icing sheets do not alter the taste at all...
These are NOT the type of cookies that look great but taste yucky...
These look AND taste fabulous!
Here's to a Tuesday filled with pretty & deliciousness!

A Nautical Birthday Party in Dubai

Sweet Goosie Girl has gone international...
My anchor cookies were sent to Dubai for a birthday party...
and here they are in action...
I didn't actually send them to Dubai myself...
I mailed them to her Florida address and she had them shipped over there...
She did a fabulous job with the party...

I love her table settings...
and the different stations around the room...

Thank you SO much for letting Sweet Goosie Girl be a part of your party!
Here's to a Tuesday filled with being thankful!

Logo Cookies - Pitchfork Prep

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
Goosie Girl and the Hub went to the Florida/LSU game...
which left me and the Spooky dog home to play with my new edible printer...
I had made these logo cookies about a week ago for a business launching party...
Pitchfork Prep...
These were the fun & festive favors that were sent home with the guests...
Here's to a week filled with productivity & inspiration!

Edible Imaging & Design Deconstructed Part 2 - How It Works

I was just able to finally sit down and play with my new edible toys...
My edible printer loaded with edible ink and edible icing sheets in which to print on...
So here's how it worked...
I designed two printable images in which to use...
One was for Breast Cancer Awareness since this is the month for it...
and the other was for Halloween...
I then printed out these images with my new edible printer & edible ink...
onto edible icing sheets (which look like paper, but hence the name, are made of icing...
and then used my 2.5" circle punch to cut out the image...
Next...
I took one of Sweet Goosie Girl's sugar cookies that I had made...
put Sweet Goosie Girl's delicious royal icing on the top...
adhered the edible circle image on to the cookie...
and added a decorative royal icing border to the edge...

Now I'm sure you are wondering, as I was, if this icing sheet alters the taste...
Of course I tried it (as well as Goosie Girl) and am happy to report
that it tastes just like my normal cookie that I've been making...no taste adjustment at all!
Still the pretty & delicious cookie that you're used to!
So why am I so excited about this?
Because there are SO many precious printables out there that designers have made...
and they can just be adhered to one of my cookies...
They are perfect for:
 Accenting dessert tables...
Being able to be personalized...
Being used as favors...
Taken to school for birthdays in lieu (or in addition) to cupcakes...
Matching exactly the paperie products you are using...
Corporate logos...
And the list goes on and on...
So what are you waiting for?

Pink Milk Bottle Cookies

So we all know that I am smitten with milk bottles...
And I jump at the chance when I am asked to make my confection version...
I love them even more in various colors...
Perhaps some pretty in pink?
Yes, please!
I paired them up (for photography purposes) with some samples that I was sending out...
Pretty and delicious...don't you think?
Here's to a Wednesday filled with sweetness!

Preppy Sea Turtle Party

Have you ever dropped by Sweet Peach Paperie?
You really should...
I adore Tracy and her paperie products are amazing...
She and I are on the same wave length...
a lot of my cookies match her designs...
So when she asked if I was up for preppy sea turtles...
Well...of course!
Take a peek at this precious party she designed & styled for her twin girls...

Swooning over these tablecloths...

Look!  Sweet Goosie Girl's preppy sea turtles...

Aren't sea turtles just the cutest?!
They're just so happy...

Just loving how she put lunch in the bucket...

Sea turtle soap favors...so fun!

And here are the birthday girls...

Thanks for letting Sweet Goosie Girl be a part of this precious, preppy party!

Weekend Diary

Since the Hub was at the Ryder Cup this weekend...
it was just Goosie Girl and I...
We started it off with a soccer game...
(in which I'm glad to report they won)
After the game we hit a few stores...
purchased a few halloween items to fancy up the house with...
and even bought the Spooky dog some new pjs...
We ended our day out with some sushi...
On Sunday,
I'm happy to say that the only thing we did is
put out our halloween decorations and watch the Ryder Cup...
(I wish that would have had a different outcome)
And now we are off and running in a new week...
Here's to making it productive!
